Their excellent location right in the centre of the island is ideal for excursions to the unique beaches in the north and in the South areas of Corfu. The northern beaches of the island are characterized by the huge sandy beaches of many kilometres or white pebbles with turquoise waters, whilst the southern beaches are suitable for those who love shallow sandy waters. See below our suggestions for near and far getaways to the unique beaches of Corfu.
Kontokali Bay beach
It is only a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the apartments. A beautiful and organized beach with a sandy beach and shallow clear waters, it also has a fish taverns, sunbeds and umbrellas.
Sotiriotissa beach
It’s a natural beach, just 8 minutes on foot. It got its name from the church that exists right across the street. The beach has shallow warm waters and a combination of gravel and sand.
Beach on Gerekou Island
A quiet secluded beach ideal for those who wish to bathe in nature. It is about a 15 minute walk from our apartments.
Dassia beach
A long, well-organized beach with endless fine sand and pebbles, many café-bars and restaurants. At a distance of 5 km from the apartments only and with very frequent bus service. Its name reminds of “forest” because of the olive groves surrounding the beach.
Barbati beach
It is located in the north-east of Corfu and got its name from the villa of Barbatis, the chief partisan in the area. It is famous because of its beautiful and crystal clear waters. The beach is known for its coarse white pebbles.
Bataria beach
One of the most beautiful beaches in the northern area of Corfu, in particular in Kassiopi. The blue-green waters combined with pebbles are unique. It’s a bit far but worth the trip!
La Grotta beach – Paleokastritsa
La Grotta beach got its name from the Italian word for “cave”. The crystal clear and blue waters make this beach unique. It is located in the area of Paleokastritsa: here you will find many restaurants and you also can visit many other beaches by boat or rent a boat.
Agios Stefanos beach
One of the most popular beaches on the island because it’s long and has a golden sand. It’s ideal for families with small children because of the shallow waters where children can play
Glyfada beach
One of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the west coast of Corfu. It is a very wide beach surrounded by high hills full of olive and pine trees. The beach is well-organized with sunbeds and here you can rent canoes and sea bikes.
Kontogyalos beach
This is another beautiful and sandy beach, next to Glyfada
Issos beach
A beach not to be missed, located in the south of Corfu. It looks like a desert because of the endless sandy beach. We recommend you to stay here late in order to enjoy the sunset.
